Course Structure

The course starts as soon as you get the Lecture Notes and are given access to the online account. You will begin the course by taking a Diagnostic Test. This will help you determine what your strengths and weaknesses are.

Then you can use the online learning platform to access video lectures to learn the content. Throughout the course you'll take 9 assessment tests on a variety of subjects in order to measure your performance - this will help you determine what areas in which you should to improve.

As well as this you will sit a full-length simulated online exam enabling you to assess yourself in exam like conditions.

Step 2 CK assesses application to patient care, health promotion and disease prevention. The exam tests the clinical sciences:

Public Health
Internal Medicine
Pediatrics
Neurology
Psychiatry
OB/GYN
Surgery

Test format:

370 questions
9 hours of testing (including an hour of break time).
Two multiple-choice formats used on Step 2 CK: single best answer and single answer matching

Minimum passing score: 189/75
This corresponds to answering 60-70% of the items correctly, approximately 222 -259 questions
